Green Smoothie Time

Green Smoothie Time

In a pinch on time in the mornings? Why not throw a smoothie together quick, pour in a jar, and take it on the run. Be sure to add protein & fat to your smoothies, so you don't get a sugar crash from all the natural sugar in fruit. Even a handful of greens or cauliflower, celery or cucumber; are nearly undetectable flavor-wise. Throw in a tbsp. almond butter or hemp hearts and a scoop of good quality protein powder (I'm enjoying Ancient Nutrition Vanilla Bone Broth Protein Powder @20 grams of protein, 1 gram of sugar, 1 gram of fat). You are done! There's a green, healthy, nourishing smoothie. Granny smith apples are one of my favorite fruit to put in a smoothie. They add a bit of fiber, sweetness, but it's all up to you. Frozen berries can be used instead of ice or some matcha powder for some good natural energy. There are so many options, and additions you can get creative with infinite possibilities. Try adding some vegetables to it, make it denser and more filling to keep you sustained until lunchtime, add an ounce of quick oats. What do you put in your smoothies? Love to hear your ideas.
